The singer is renowned for her lavish costumes, and dresses just as ostentatiously in her everyday life as when she is performing. In the past, she has gone out for dinner wearing just her underwear and was spotted fishing in eight-inch heels while in New Zealand. She has become so famous for her bizarre fashion tastes she now worries about letting her fans down by dressing too normally. Gaga has found sipping alcohol helps her come up with outrageous ideas, and has encouraged her stylist to indulge in spirits too. “We have a cigarette and whiskey and look through racks of clothing,” the singer explained. “It's organic, there's no pretence or preconception. And it always works the best.” The 24-year-old recently admitted her penchant for unusual clothing is all part of the image she has built up around her. She likes to surprise people and make them think, and insists donning strange outfits is an easy way of doing that. “No artist should ever want to be bland. Thandie Newton feels “nauseous” at the thought of following trends. The actress is famed for her fresh-faced appeal, and doesn’t like making too much effort with her hair and make-up. She prefers looking classic to fashionable, and was horrified to hear she had unwittingly followed a trend when she sported a plait in her hair earlier this year.“I just felt like doing a plait. I had no idea it was a trend. I had a weave in and I like to see long hair without it always being loose,” she explained. “The thought of following a trend makes me feel nauseous. If there is a trend, I tend to avoid it, as I have a sort of innate cynicism of convention. It’s so important to challenge the norm and keep things exciting.” Thandie sticks to products if she finds they work for her. Her mother introduced her to the Olay range of skincare when she was a child, and she still uses it now. “It has made a difference. Myles told reporters that several people were in Russell's home at the time of his arrest but Russell was the only person taken into custody. Tori Spelling’s husband in hospital after crash

Tori Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott is in intensive care recovering from a collapsed lung after being involved in a motorbike crash. The accident took place on Tuesday while the 43-year-old reality star was riding a dirt bike with some friends. After the crash, he was unable to move and was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles bleeding heavily from a wound to his right side. Tori has revealed she was initially furious when she heard about the accident, but then realised how much pain he was in when she arrived at the hospital to see him. She is now hoping he will give up riding dirt bikes for the sake of their two children, Liam, three, and two-year-old Stella. “He's taking this as a sign and realising family is too important to risk his life,” Tori told People.com. “His friend called me and said he was in the ER. He didn't want to scare me so he just said he had a crash and that they were X-raying him. “At first I was mad. I was p**sed that he was out biking and crashed. But when I showed up and saw him lying there, and they told me they were admitting him to ICU with a collapsed lung, my heart dropped. My biggest fear had come true.” Dean is expected to make a full recovery but will remain in intensive care for a few more days, according to the couple’s representative. Mel Gibson has reportedly been taped having another racist rant. The 54-year-old actor famously let slip an anti-Semitic tirade when he was arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in 2006. Now, he has allegedly been recorded using a number of racist slurs and other offensive words while arguing with his then-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. Gossip website RadarOnline claims it received the tape, made by Oksana, and insists the male voice on it is Mel’s. "You're an embarrassment to me. You look like a f**king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of n*****s it will be your fault," the man on the recording shouts. "How dare you act like such a b***h when I have been so f**king nice. I am going to come and burn the f**king house down... but you will blow me first." The man on the tape also calls Oksana at w***e and a ****. Mel’s representative has refused to comment on the tape. A Los Angeles judge reportedly called Mel and Oksana’s lawyers into court yesterday for a closed hearing to determine who leaked the tapes. If it is found that Oksana released them, it could impact upon her custody case. Mel went public with his relationship with Oksana, 40, just one month after filing for divorce from his wife Robyn last year. Oksana gave birth to their first child, a daughter called Lucia, nine months ago, and the couple announced they were splitting in April. Last month, it was claimed Oksana had filed for a restraining order against Mel after he allegedly became violent towards her, while Mel filed paperwork for custody of Lucia.
